Preparation tips:

CLOTHING

MAKEUP and HAIR

Remember clothing is only a prop...not the focal point.  Stay away from clothes that may be distracting. Solids work the best. Choose colors that are good for your skin  tone.

Accessories;  Women should stay away from distracting scarfs, hair accessories, and heavy jewelry.  Keep jewelry simple. Bring an assortment jewelry to create different looks.

Make sure your clothes are not wrinkled and lint free. Don't bring clothes that have been folded in bag.

If you are uncertain about what to wear, bring several different options and we can decide together. Different tops can create different looks.

If you are uncertain about preparing your makeup for a photo session, consider using a makeup artist (someone who has experience working with photographers).  Be sure you tell a makeup artist your comfort level with makeup.  You want to be your personal style.

Hair;  Highlights or color should be up to date.  Hair should be clean. Style your hair as if you attending a function.

Consider having your eyebrows professionally shaped before you session.

When choosing clothing, solids work best.  Ties can have pattern and texture as long as they don't distract from you.  Bring several ties and we can choose together.

Suits, jackets, sweaters and long sleeve shirts work well.  Choose colors that you look with you hair color and skin tone.

Bringing jackets and shirts on hangers can prevent wrinkled clothing. Make sure your clothes are lint free.
